Sir Howard Stringer, CEO von Sony, hat in einem Interview mit dem Wall Street Journal versehentlich verraten, dass seine Firma die Kamera-Sensoren für das neue iPhone 5 liefern wird.
Im Interview erwähnte Stringer, dass in einer der vom Erdbeben und Tsunami betroffenen Fabrik, Bildsensoren für Apple fabriziert wurden. Die Kamerabestandteile würden nun, aus besagtem Grund, etwas später an Apple geliefert.
Early on, he raised the irony of Sony supplying camera components for Apple devices. It “always puzzles me,” he said. “Why would I make Apple the best camera?” It is unclear what devices he was talking about as Sony isn’t known to supply key camera components, known as image sensors, to Apple; A Sony spokeswoman declined to comment and an Apple spokesperson couldn’t be reached for comment.
Stringer erwähnte jedoch das neue iPhone 5 im Interview nie direkt. Da Sony aktuell keine Sensoren für das aktuell Apple-Phone liefert, liegt die Vermutung nahe, dass der besagte 8 Megapixel-Sensor für das neuste Model von Apple bestimmt ist...
Aber vielleicht handelt es sich auch nur um eine geplante Fehlinformation? Who knows...
