Tatsunoko vs Capcom Producer Ryota Niitsuma sprach vor kurzem in einem Interview über die Zukunft des Spiels. Hauptsächlich ging es darum, ob es auch auf anderen Konsolen erscheinen wird.
Laut Niitsuma wird dies jedoch leider nicht der Fall sein.
"Tatsunoko vs Capcom was designed to fully exploit the capabilities of the Wii. It was designed solely around the Wii."
Das Spiel von der Wii auf die Xbox 360 oder PS3 zu bringen wäre kein leichtes Unterfangen. "Das Spiel auf die anderen beiden System zu transferieren würde einen Start vom Zeichenbrett benötigen."
Die "Versus"-Serie erfuhr einen Stillstand bis zu Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Niitsuma hofft, dass dieses Spiel den Kreis in einem guten Weg durchbrechen wird.
"Hopefully the fan reaction is good. If we have good sales hopefully we can think about more games in the Versus series. Personally speaking I would like to do more. I love the series."
"If possible I would mind seeing a sequel to Marvel vs Capcom 2. Of course it would probably be a whole new type of game if we did that."
Auch hört Niitsuma sehr auf die Fans und erkennt es an wenn es ein starkes verlangen nach einem seiner Spiele gibt. Das wird vielleicht auch ein grund dafür sein, dass Tatsunoko vs Capcom noch exklusiv für Wii ist.
"If enough fans say, 'We want this on PS3 and 360,' we might do that. It was because of the fans we were able to bring this game to the states in the first place."
Auch sein Schlusskommentar war nicht ohne als er sagte:
"There are a lot of American game developers I wouldn't mind working with and being able to combine Capcom characters with them."
Wir würden uns natürlich auf eine solche Kooperation freuen, besonders wenn diese nicht nur für eine Konsole umgesetzt wird.
