In einer Zeit, in der über Downloadable Content diskutiert wird wenn ein Spiel heraus kommt, oder sogar noch davor, weigert sich ein Spiel, auf diesen Zug aufzuspringen. Sein Name ist "Final Fantasy XIII"!
Square Enix gab nun offiziell bekannt, dass sie derzeit keine Pläne haben DLC für "Final Fantasy XIII" heraus zu bringen.
Produzent Yoshinori Kitase und Direktor Motomu Toriyama erklären dies mit folgendem Statement:
"Regarding the DLC content, we feel that the final product is 100% enjoyable…it's the complete package. So we're not planning any DLC at this time."
"At this time" lässt natürlich noch Platz für Spekulationen und Hoffnung.
"In regard to the rumored cut content, we feel it was taken out of context. There are a lot of ideas that are brought to the table, and then the team takes the best ideas out of those, and the final product is polished that way."
Natürlich gibt es von den Ideen welche nicht verwirklicht wurden, eine ganze Menge. Leider sieht es jedoch nich danach aus, dass Square Enix diese in Form von DLCs veröffentlichen wird.
Das auslassen von DLC für FFXIII ist ein zweischneidiges Schwert, einige Fans werden natürlich enttäuscht sein, wenn sie das Spiel zu 100% durchgespielt haben. Andere jedoch werden sich freuen, dass sie für ein solch geniales Spiel nicht noch zusätzlich viel Geld ausgeben müssen.
